Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall as a Category 3 or greater storm on Wednesday, October 10. Please PREPARE IMMEDIATELY!
Leon County Schools are closed for the remainder of the week.
Sandbags are available at Winthrop Park to prepare for what will be Hurricane Michael. Sandbags are limited to 25 bags per household. Citizens need to bring shovels to fill bags themselves. Crews will monitor and provide additional sand and bags as needed. The site will be open until the storm threat has passed and it is determined there is no longer a need.
