Pedestrian & Traffic Enhancements Coming to Betton Road
The BHNA has worked with city staff to improve the safety and neighborhood-friendliness of Betton Road. Here’s the latest update from city staff on the project.
The City of Tallahassee has been working to finalize design plans for pedestrian safety and traffic enhancements along Betton Road. This message is part of our commitment to keeping you, your neighbors and the broader community updated on the progress of this project.
Currently, we are moving forward with the bid process to select a contractor for the project. Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2021 and be completed within one year.
During construction, it will be necessary to close Betton Road to thru traffic. Residents in the Betton Hills neighborhood will have access to their homes at all times, although detour routes through the neighborhood will likely change as the project progresses.
When we hosted a community meeting to discuss this project, many in attendance noted their desire to stay informed about its progress. Please visit Talgov.com/Betton where we will continue to post updates. You can find contact information on the site should you have any questions or feedback.
If you have not already done so, you can also sign up there to receive project updates via email.
We remain committed to building a stronger, safer community and appreciate your patience as this project moves forward.
