Betton Hills’ Thank You Neighbor Program

Thank you card and pen

Do you have a neighbor (or small group of neighbors) who went the extra mile to improve the quality of life of those on your street or in Betton Hills? The Betton Hills Thank You Neighbor Program gives you (and the BHNA) an opportunity to recognize the resident(s).

Your special neighbor/s can be any age. He or she may be a long-time Betton Hills resident or brand new. The important thing is that they stepped up to act in an especially neighborly way. For example, a neighbor or couple of neighbors may voluntarily mow the lawn for someone ill or elderly; may help in planning BHNA events; may regularly check to make sure a neighbor is safe, may get the city to remove invasive water hyacinths from a neighborhood pond, etc. Whether known by everyone or an unsung hero/s, thank you neighbors make a special effort to make Betton Hills an even better neighborhood.

The Betton Hills Thank You Neighbor Program will honor those nominated with an article and/or video on the BHNA website, plus a few appreciation gifts. Both nominator and nominee, if possible, will be notified of the posting.

To Nominate Thank You Neighbor:

Write a few sentences about a Betton Hills neighbor who performed a good deed or provided a service to another neighbor or Betton Hills. Include a photo, if possible. Also, add contact information for the neighbor and yourself. Email the nomination to: president@bettonhills.org
