Get ready neighbors! May is national bike month. Betton Hills Neighborhood Association is partnering with Capital City Cycling and Tallahassee/Leon County for a neighborhood ride Saturday, May 1 at noon.

We are the first of five neighborhood rides that are planned in May. Our bike ride will start at McCord Park (Armistead road side). We will ride to Harriman Circle and then return to McCord Park.

All ages and skill levels are welcome. We will be observing safe distancing. We will share bike rules on the road. Helmets are required.

If you need a bike to ride, you can email secretary@cccyclists.org by the Thursday before the ride (April 29) to request a loaner. We have limited bikes available, but we want to serve you if we can.

Check out information about biking in our community at www.biketallahassee.com.

The Betton Hills bike ride will be an event that will celebrate biking and remind us how lucky we are to live in this neighborhood! We need volunteers to help at the ride—experienced cyclists please join us. If you want to create signs that say “Bike Ride” we can post those on the route which is Armstrong to Ellicott and then around Harriman Circle. Contact me at drmkbikes@hotmail.com if you want to volunteer or contribute a sign to post on the route.

Life is better on bikes! See you on May 1.
