CRTPA Public Meeting: Development of the Midtown Area Transportation Plan

CRTPA Midtown Plan

This event has ended

We have heard your ideas to date on improving Midtown’s mobility and vibrancy… Now the CRTPA is seeking your input again as we continue working towards the development of the Midtown Area Transportation Plan.

Based upon the feedback received, several opportunities for the Midtown area have been developed and are scheduled to be shared on Wednesday, November 6 (6 pm – 7:30 pm).  The meeting will be held at the Tallahassee Senior Center (1400 N. Monroe Street) and held in an open-house style so feel free to attend at any time between 6 pm and 7:30 pm.  At the meeting, we will be seeking your input on what options best reflect your vision for Midtown.

In addition to the Midtown Area Transportation Plan input, the Citizens Multimodal Advisory Committee (CMAC) and the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency (CRTPA) will be meeting over the next 2 weeks to review and consider for approval the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP). This plan highlights routes through multiple neighborhoods that are friendly to new cyclists and pedestrians. The CMAC will meet on Tuesday, November 5, 11:30am at the Renaissance Building, and the CRTPA will meet on Tuesday, November 19th, 1:30pm in the City Commission Chambers in City Hall.  You can find more information at http://crtpa.org/.

If you are interested in attending one of both of these meetings (particularly the CRTPA) and would like to bring your bicycles built for more than one (as in family), that would be fantastic.  There are so many options for multi-modal transportation these days—time to show them to our local elected officials and share your support for this initiative!
