Keep Betton Hills Beautiful Cleanup

Location: Betton Road/adjoining Winthrop Park woods

Meet at the StarMetro Bus Stop on Betton Road at 9am.

Next year, the United States will celebrate its 250th birthday, and party planning has already begun. The Keep America Beautiful folks—the nonprofit, volunteer-fueled effort begun in 1953 to educate and inspire citizens to beautify their communities—are hosting The Greatest American Cleanup, and you’re invited! The goal is to spruce up the whole country by collecting 25 billion pieces of litter by July 4, 2026. It’s a big task, but working together, we can do it!

Here in Betton Hills, we’re getting a head start. We’ll have quarterly cleanups in our parks and on our sidewalks. We’ll have a scavenger hunt for our Littlest Litter Picker-Uppers and a special volunteer-curated Cleanup Playlist to groove to throughout 2025-2026.

Can’t make the quarterly cleanups?  Keep an eye on the Betton Hills Facebook page for alternative ways you can contribute to the Greatest American Cleanup.  To learn more, visit https://kab.org/greatest-american-cleanup/.
